Oak tree: the centerpiece

So much love and concern has been poured into this tree so it can be just that: our centerpiece! From the moment we started drafting the program for the building and its footprint to avoid loosing this tree, to the protection added around it during demolition and sitework, and finally to this very moment, where root pruning and trimmings are necessary to maintain the health of this tree, all was so carefully planned and done so this oak tree could continue living strong. However, in spite of all the preparation, it hurts to see it so thinned out. Can you count how many branches were trimmed?

Let's hope it'll continue to thrive in all the disturbances that surrounds it at this time.
